Troubleshooting
If the extension isn’t functioning as expected, it could be due to missing permissions or browser-imposed restrictions. Some websites, particularly system-related or browser-related pages (such as browser settings, extensions management pages, or the Chrome Web Store), may automatically disable extensions for security and stability reasons.
Steps to check site access permissions:
Open the extension settings:
- In Chrome-based browsers, go to
chrome://extensions/
. - In Opera, go to
opera://extensions/
.
- In Chrome-based browsers, go to
Find our extension and click “Details”.
Check “Site access” settings:
- Set it to “On all sites” for full functionality.
- If using “On specific sites”, ensure the relevant websites are included.
Opera Users: Enable “Allow access to search page results” in the extension settings to ensure functionality on search engine result pages.
Note
Extensions are automatically restricted on certain system-related or browser-managed pages (e.g., chrome://
, about:config
, or edge://
pages) and on the Chrome Web Store. These restrictions are enforced by the browser and cannot be overridden.
After updates, some browsers may reset permissions. If the extension stops working:
- Go to extension settings and check site access permissions.
- Restart the browser to apply changes.
If the issue persists, try removing and reinstalling the extension.
By default, most browsers disable extensions in Incognito Mode. To enable it:
- Open the Extensions page (
chrome://extensions/
oropera://extensions/
). - Find our extension and click “Details”.
- Enable “Allow in Incognito”.
